Antibes "doesn't have to be expensive"
Antibes on the French Riviera is "a great place to come to" and it does not have to cost the earth, the tourist board has said.
Situated on the coastline between Nice and Cannes, the town is served by a bus network costing one euro.
"It doesn't have to be an expensive area," said Lucy Howard, a representative from the Antibes Juan-les-Pins tourist board.
Among the town's attractions are an "unusual" absinthe bar, a famous jazz festival which takes place in July and the Picasso museum where he lived in 1946, she explained.
The town's official website says the area has "one of the most beautiful coastlines in France", which stretches for almost 25 kilometres.
Yachting is also a big attraction in Antibes and the resort claims to have the largest boat and business harbour in Europe in terms of tonnage and innovation.
The town is situated 13 kilometres from the Nice Cote d'Azur International airport and is serviced by the bus network.
