All-inclusive travel 'can be a good way to manage a budget'
With Brits determined to ensure they take a holiday this summer all-inclusive breaks could be a good way to manage a budget.
This is according to travel expert at travelsupermarket.com Bob Atkinson who said: "By doing an all-inclusive break, people are able to peg their holiday spend so they know they can budget what they're spending."
He went on to say that both UK travel insurance holders and people who had taken out holiday insurance for overseas were also taking more self-catering breaks to keep the costs of eating down while away.
Research by the company found that some 45 per cent of UK travellers would be taking a holiday in the coming 12 months.
Mr Atkinson explained that taking an annual holiday seems to be something that is engrained in the "British psyche".
Of the people who have taken out holiday insurance for places such as Scandinavia, Switzerland, Austria, Africa, South-East Asia and Australasia, people travelling alone made up the largest proportion of holidaymakers, a study by Mintel revealed in July.
Cheap holiday insurance from Direct Travel Insurance could be one way to keep total holiday expenditure down.
