Travellers hoping to save money during 2011 may choose an all-inclusive holiday.
Travellers hoping to enjoy a holiday during 2011 might decide on an all-inclusive deal with a view to saving a bit of cash.
Bob Atkinson, travel analyst from travelsupermarket.com, explained how such a package - which is likely to include accommodation, food, drinks and entertainment - may prove great value for money.
He pointed out that North Africa, Turkey and Egypt are likely to prove economical "despite the fact that costs over in those countries have gone up - and if you were to go self-catering there - you'd find the costs have gone up a lot year-on-year", but those buying an all-inclusive deal should still receive good value.
Countries within the eurozone have "bounced back" over the last 12 months and companies such as hotels and restaurants have reduced their prices, according to Mr Atkinson.
However, single trip insurance policyholders hoping to go on a long-haul excursion might choose a deal that takes them to the US or Thailand. The former is apparently providing great offers for UK travellers and they should expect to get quite a lot for their dollars, despite the exchange rate being less favourable.
Thailand provides "very high standards for quite a low outlay", Mr Atkinson explained and could prove ideal for people looking for a sun-soaked adventure.
His advice may be taken on board by more people during 2011, as a poll from the price comparison website suggests UK holidaymakers have reduced their budgets by approximately one-fifth in recent times - respondents hoped to spend £829 on their next trip when compared with more than £1,000 last year.
