New York has something to offer all ages.
Travel insurance policyholders of all ages can find something to keep them busy by heading on holiday to New York.
According to a spokeswoman for NYCtrip.com, the city that never sleeps is just as welcoming to older visitors as it is for the young.
For example, there are museums, Broadway theatre, motor coach tours, harbour cruises and plenty of pretty streets to explore.
"NYC is, after all, a very flat and walkable city, the city appeals to everyone," the representative continues.
Those who would rather travel on four wheels will find taxis are "plentiful and inexpensive", while good-quality restaurants are available in abundance.
Times Square and Herald Square tend to be the most famous spots and are ideally suited to people watching, thanks to the free seating available at the bustling venues.
Christmas in New York can be magical and the representative suggests this is particularly true during the main week of festivities.
"Because the city is devoid of business travellers that week hotel prices are very attractive," she continues.
And the area is "ablaze with colour" thanks to retailers that are vying for attention of eager Christmas shoppers.
Particularly notable department stores that may appeal include Macy's, Tiffany's and Bloomingdales, although independent shops could be equally interesting to seek out.
Tourist should be sure to head to the Rockerfeller Centre, where its famous Christmas tree sits above the skating rink, offering visitors the chance to see daily performances of the Rockettes and their Radio City Christmas Spectacular, the spokeswoman adds.
