September and October are perfect months to visit the wildlife and adventurous terrain of Alberta in Canada, it has been said.
With the disappointing weather of the British summer, those looking to take a trip during September or October may find it is the "perfect time" to visit Alberta in Canada.
Travellers with Canadian
holiday insurance may find there are plenty of adventurous activities on offer in the region for visitors, Alberta Tourism said.
It explained that autumn "are golden days in Alberta with wide blue skies, soft sunshine and plenty of time to hike, horse ride, canoe and generally relax and make the most of the stunning mountains and changing seasons".
There is also ample opportunity to take in the wildlife, such as the black and grizzly bears which are bulking up for the cold winter months.
Golden eagles and elks can also be spotted at this time and the Festival of the Eagles runs from October 16th to 18th.
Alberta is the home of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, five Unesco World Heritage sites and five national parks.
