An Expedia director has hailed Borneo as a destination for Brits to visit in 2010.
Holidaymakers with a sense of adventure are looking to destinations such as Borneo for a unique value-for-money travel experience, according to an Expedia director.
Jonathan Cudworth, director of product management for the online travel site, suggested that destinations in the Far East can provide great value for UK holidaymakers.
In addition to Borneo, he suggested that Indonesia and Malaysia are two other options to consider.
He said these destinations are becoming more popular "with adventurous Brits keen to get more for their money during their hard-earned break."
The Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) recommends that holidaymakers obtain comprehensive medical cover and
travel insurance before setting off on a trip to Malaysia.
People who are planning to participate in water sports or scuba diving while on their travels should also take measures to ensure the operator has adequate insurance cover and is licensed, the FCO noted.
