A multi-trip travel insurance policy could offer "significant savings"
Britons are jetting off to warmer climes this summer, despite the pressures of the recession at home, according to a new report.
Figures published today (July 13th) from Sainsbury's Travel Insurance have shown that 56 million holidays will be taken by UK travellers this summer season and 670,000 people admitted to taking more holidays than usual.
According to the company, purchasing multi-trip holiday insurance may help people to make the most of their money when it comes to their travel plans.
"The millions of people who are going on holiday more than once this summer would be well-advised to buy a multi-trip travel insurance policy before they go away," said Sam Marrs, head of travel insurance at the firm.
He added that people could make "significant savings" by doing so.
Mintel reported earlier this month that there had been a rise in the number of people travelling solo in the last five years. Its study revealed some one in eight long-haul holidays are taken by people travelling alone.
Holiday Insurance from Direct Travel Insurance can cover a trip to Europe or long-haul destinations all for a low price.
