Ratanakosin Island will be closed to accommodate the cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana

According to the Bangkok Mass Transit Authority (BMTA), areas around Ratanakosin Island will be closed on 14 November 2008 beginning on 1800 local time. The closure will include 16 roads around the island to accommodate the cremation of Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana. Public transportation will be provided to those wishing to participate in the services in Sanam Luang. The six key areas where services will be centered are Victory Monument (in front of Pong Lee restaurant), Wong Wian Yai, Supachalasai stadium (near the sky-train station), Nang Lerng Equestrian race course, Ratchapruek - Borommarajchonni junction, and Hua Lumphong train station.
