HAT YAI TRAINS SUSPENDED

Railway unions in Hat Yai suspended 10 short-route train services, claiming that the locomotives are in dire need of maintenance after a train derailed in Khao Tao in Hua Hin last week. Later in the day, seven out of 13 trains resumed service after those locomotives were found to meet safety standards. Repairs were underway for the remaining six.
