CRACKDOWN ON TAXI AT BANGKOK AIRPORT

The Airports of Thailand agency announced on 22 July 2009 that it will conduct a crackdown on illegal taxis at Suvarnabhumi International Airport on 28 July. The crackdown is in response to an increase in extortion against foreign travellers. Although there is no definitive evidence that this operation will disrupt operations at the airport, travellers who use this form of transportation should allot additional time.
