Officials in Thailand announced on 25 March 2010 that security measures will be increased in and around government buildings as well as around major highways and tollways after two more grenade attacks occurred just north of Bangkok.
Despite the increase in security, Parliament restrictions, including roadblocks, were eased on 25 March. Reports indicate that no one was injured when the two minor blasts hit a town hall building and a provincial government office in the suburbs of Bangkok. Police officials stated that the two locations were apparent weak spots in the massive government security operation that was launched in response to the ongoing disruptive protests of United Front for Democracy Against Dictatorship (UDD) activists in Bangkok. Investigators claim that there have been at least 10 such grenade attacks since the wave of protests began on 14 March, but none has caused any fatalities.
