Bangkok airport resumes full operations

On 5 December 2008 Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport (VTBS/BKK) resumed full operations at approximately 1100 local time. The airport, which was overrun with protesters for eight days, received approval from the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) to resume operations after a thorough investigation. Suvarnabhumi is expected to service more than 100 domestic and international flights on 5 December.
