No reported casualties in earthquake

An earthquake measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale shook southern Taiwan today, but there were no reports of any casualties or damage.
The epicentre of the quake, which struck just before 10:30 pm GMT, 77 miles southwest of Kaohsiung which is on the west coast.
