IBERIA CABIN CREW GO ON 2 DAY STRIKE

Cabin crew with Spanish national air carrier Iberia launched a two-day strike on 26 October 2009 to demand higher wages. The airline cancelled approximately 440 flights as a result of the strike action. Most of the affected routes involve domestic services or flights between Madrid and European destinations, but trans-Atlantic flights are also among those disrupted. Workers plan to stage a second work stoppage on 10 and 11 November that is likely to result in additional disruptions to flights.
