Servere Weather Disrupts Ttansport in Seoul

04 Jan 2010
Severe winter weather, including heavy snowfall and freezing temperatures, significantly disrupted aviation and transportation operations in Seoul on 4 January 2010. According to reports, more than 90 inbound and outgoing flights were cancelled at Gimpo International Airport. Other major airports in South Korea also grounded dozens of flights due to the heavy snow, including Incheon International Airport, where four flights were cancelled and more than 40 others experienced delays. The record snowfall negatively affected transportation in the country and forced the cancellation of classes at several educational institutions.
