Insurgents attack Baidoa Airport

On 24 October 2008 insurgents attacked Baidoa Airport (HCMB/BIB) with mortar shells. Ethiopian troops and government soldiers cordoned the area off, which also caused several businesses and roads to close. No fatalities were reported; however, hospitals in the area reported that at least five government officials sustained gunshot wounds.
