GUNMEN KIDNAP TWO FRENCH JOURNALISTS FROM HOTEL

On 14 July 2009 gunmen kidnapped two French journalists from a Mogadishu hotel. Approximately 10 men entered the Sahafi Hotel with guns pointed at the guards, then abducted the two male journalists from their hotel room in the guest house. Reports indicated that the gunmen did not fire any shots or injure any of the hotel guards during the kidnapping
