Authorities increase measures to prevent swine flu

05 May 2009
As a preventative measure against Swine Flu the temperature of all people entering Singapore has been extended from just the airports to the two bridge-crossing from Malaysia and at the ferry terminals. They are being checked with non-obtrusive body scanners and those with high temperatures are being sent for further medical examinations. As previously advised from 4 May Singapore authorities will also place any people who have been in Mexico during the previous seven days, who wish to enter Singapore, into quarantine for seven days. Also from the 1st May some Singaporean venues such as museums have introduced temperature screening and are taking contact details of all visitors. These venues are excluding entry to those who have been in the UK, and other countries with confirmed cases of swine flu, in the last 14 days. There are no reported cases of Swine Flu in Singapore
