Travel Advice

The threat from terrorism is low.

Travellers are advised against all but essential travel outside the main cities of Brazzaville and Pointe Noire as there is some instability and risk of rebel activity in the countryside. There were armed clashes in the Bacongo area of Brazzaville as recently as October 13-19, and these clashes reportedly left seven civilians dead.

There was an outbreak of the Ebola-virus in the Mbomo and Etoumbi regions in May 2005.
