Direct Travel Insurance, has decided to make public its claims figures as a reminder of the potential risks attached to going away without adequate travel insurance, both for UK and overseas trips.
These figures show the real cost of travel insurance claims made from January to December 2008. Those travelling with insufficient or without cover may find themselves out of pocket, should a similar incident happen:
