SUICIDE BOMBER ATTACKS RESTAURANT IN BALOCHISTAN PROVINCE

A suicide bomber blew himself in a restaurant in the Sorab area in the town of Qalat, which is located approximately 185 mi/300 km from Quetta, in Balochistan province on 30 June 2009. The bomber's car also detonated outside of the restaurant. The blast damaged other nearby buildings. The attack killed at least four people and injured at least 10 others. Officials believe that the bomber may have intended to target a convoy of 40 trucks carrying NATO supplies to Afghanistan; the convoy passed through the area approximately 30 minutes before the attack
