SUICIDE ATTACK ON VILLAGE MARKET

At least 10 people have been killed and many injured in a suicide car bomb attack at a village market in north-west Pakistan. The explosion happened at a busy intersection close to the garrison town of Kohat. Vehicles and shops in the area have been badly damaged by the force of the blast and casualty figures are expected to rise. The village is close to the Orakzai tribal region, a stronghold of the Taliban.
