Search for suspect suicide bomber around Islamabad airport

Reports on 7 April 2009 indicate that police officials in the Islamabad area are searching for a suspected teenage suicide bomber near Benazir Bhutto International Airport (OPRN/ISB). Authorities launched the manhunt after a witness came forward claiming that the youth had showed him a suicide vest and forced him to drive him to the airport. When the driver reached the Flying Club near the airport, the youth allegedly knocked him unconscious and fled. In response to the threat, security throughout the city has been increased; it is not known if security officials have yet apprehended the suspect.
