Gunmen Attack NATO Convoy
28 Jan 2010
Four gunmen riding on motorcycles attacked a NATO convoy on a highway in the Baldia neighborhood of western Karachi on 28 January 2010. The gunmen opened fire and threw grenades at the convoy. The attack injured three people and severely damaged three trucks. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but local officials suspect that Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan was likely involved. The convoy was en route to Kandahar, Afghanistan, at the time of the incident.
