25 DEAD IN SUICIDE ATTACK IN CHARSADDA
10 Nov 2009
Today a car bomb exploded near the crowded Farooq-e-Azam Chowk (square) in the town of Charsadda, which is located approximately 18 miles from Peshawar in the North-West Frontier Province. The blast killed at least 25 people and injured more than 40 others. The explosion also damaged several nearby buildings. Authorities believe that a suicide bomber may have detonated the explosives in the vehicle. No group has claimed responsibility, though the government will likely implicate Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan.
