Indefinite curfew in place following riots that resulted in the death of six people

Six people were killed on Friday/Saturday in central Nigeria's Bauchi State, following a riot over the burning of a mosque. The president ordered immediate deployment of soldiers to quell the riot and an indefinite curfew has also been placed on the affected areas. The riot was said to have been triggered by the burning of a mosque at about 2:00 a.m, in Railway and Makama Ward of the state capital The trouble started following some youths stopping a sect of Moslems from observing the weekly Juma' at prayers.
