Protesters & police clash in Kathmandu

Tibetan protesters clashed with police officers as they attempted to access the Chinese consular office in Kathmandu on 1 August 2008. Police officials detained 162 of the protesters, who were primarily Tibetan refugees, including nuns and monks. The protesters will likely be released later in the day.
