Dismantle of an al-Qaeda-linked cell

Authorities on 26 April 2010 dismantled an al-Qaeda-linked cell that was planning attacks, including assassinations and acts of sabotage. The 24-member group attempted to target security services and unspecified foreign interests. The group reportedly recruited terrorist fighters for operations in Afghanistan, Iraq and Somalia. At least four of the members have been jailed in the past for terror-related activities. Authorities did not specify the locations of the planned attacks.
