Further transport strike starts on the 24th Feb

Transport workers will launch a national strike tomorrow the 24th Feb 2009 and are demanding that the government reduce the price of diesel fuel by 40 percent. Protests are likely to take place in most Mexican cities with a large-scale demonstration in the Plaza of the Constitution in Mexico City. There is no indication how long the strike will go on for. It is thought that private transport providers are not going to participate the strike.
