Government & rebels agree truce

On 21 July 2008 the government reached a truce agreement with the Tuareg rebel group the Democratic Alliance for Change. The truce is meant to bring an end to hostilities between the rebels and government troops. The two sides also agreed on further discussions on other issues, such as prisoners and refugees.
