Swine flu detection measures increased

Malagasy health authorities increased A/H1N1 detection measures throughout the country, including at Ivato International Airport (FMMI/TNR), on 30 June 2009. The move comes after neighboring Mauritius confirmed its first case of the A/H1N1 flu on the island the previous day. Health authorities stated that all passengers disembarking in Madagascar will be required to submit to a health check and will also be educated on symptoms of the A/H1N1 virus.
