Armed troops search airport for former president

Armed troops combed Antananarivo's Ivato International Airport today in search of former President Marc Ravalomanana. The troops searched the airport after the passenger manifest from a flight arriving from the neighboring island of Mauritius went missing on 27 May, prompting concern that Ravalomanana was attempting to slip back into the country. Soldiers searched the luggage of passengers on the flight and questioned them, but no evidence of the former president was found.
