SECURITY INCREASED FOR TOURIST SEASON

Interior Ministry officials reported on 30 June 2009 that security was being increased for the summer tourist season. As part of the increased measures, a police officer will be stationed at each resort or vacation hotel in the country. In addition, police academy patrols will be set up in Lake Issyk-Kul resort areas, and patrols are being implemented in a total of five regions
