KENYA AIRWAYS STRIKE CALLED OFF

On 15 August 2009 Kenya Airways workers called off a strike that began on 14 August. Negotiators from the Aviation and Allied Workers Union and Kenya Airways management agreed upon a 20-percent pay raise. Striking workers were given notices of dismissal by the airline, which were repealed after employees agreed to return to work.
