Runway reopens at Narita Airport
24 Mar 2009
On 24 March 2009 officials at Japan's Narita International Airport (RJAA/NRT) reopened the main runway, where a FedEx cargo aircraft crashed on 23 March, killing two people. The runway was reopened at 0910 local time (0010 UTC) after more than 600 passengers were forced to remain at the airport overnight due to the runway shutdown; the airport is currently running at full capacity and no further delays are expected.
