PILOT STRIKE WILL DISRUPT DOMESTIC FLIGHTS

All Nippon Airways (ANA) pilots' unions issued a statement on 16 November 2009 that they may hold a strike on 18 November. The strike could disrupt more than 20 percent of domestic flights. ANA stated that at least four pilot unions have indicated that they will hold a 24-strike to force the head office officials to return to negotiations. A strike would lead to more than 138 flights being cancelled and at least 33 flights being delayed, which would affect more than 9,000 passengers
