Temporary increase in airport passport controls

From 28 June 2009 until 15 July 2009 there will be an increase in passport controls at all Italian airports. The Schengen agreement for the free circulation of persons will also be suspended in Italy for that period. If you are using air transport, including internal flights in Italy, from 28 June 2009 until 15 July 2009, it is strongly advised that you to arrive at the airport well in advance of your departure time.
