Dozens killed and injured in attack on pilgrims

Over 30 pilgrims were killed by a female suicide bomber and more than 60 other people were also injured in the attack which happened in Iskandiriya, which is situated 25 miles south of Baghdad.
The attack targeted Shia pilgrims, many of whom were travelling south to the city of Karbala to take part in an annual religious ceremony. The attack happened despite increased security along the route.
