Incidents of unrest and pro-reformist demonstrations were reported in Iran on 20 and 21 June 2009 despite a stern 19 June warning by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei calling for an immediate end to the unrest. A media blackout has been implemented in recent days, making it very difficult to monitor local developments
