A number of cases of cholera reported

in the Tehran, Qom and Hormozgan Provinces of Iran in August 2008. The total number of confirmed cases was 94. Half of these cases were from the Tehran province. There have been no reports of the disease spreading to other provinces. You should drink or use only boiled or bottled water and avoid ice in drinks. If you suffer from diarrhoea during a visit to Iran you should seek immediate medical attention.
