EU REMOVES BAN ON SOME INDONESIAN AIRLINES

Several of Indonesia's air carriers were taken off of the European Union (EU) blacklist on 14 July 2009, after adequately addressing safety concerns. The European Commission announced that Garuda Airlines, Airfast Indonesia, Mandala Airlines and Prime Air are now permitted to fly over EU airspace; the aircraft have been banned from doing so since mid-2007
