SECURITY THREAT TO CLUB NEAR TAJ MAHAL

On 10 December 2009 police officials in Mumbai stated that they have received warnings about a possible terrorist attack at the Bombay Presidency Radio Club, a private club that also has a small number of hotel rooms and is located on a pier near the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower. Authorities have heightened security at the venue. No further details about the threat are available. The warning is reportedly the 574th intelligence alert issued in India thus far in 2009.
