Security Increased in Mumbai

The Mumbai police force heightened security at several locations in Mumbai after an anonymous caller made a bomb threat on 6 January 2010. The caller threatened to blow up six unspecified locations at 1200 local time. Police officers searched for explosive devices and boosted security at upscale hotels, Siddhi Vinayak Temple in Prabhadevi, and the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminal (CST), Churchgate and Dadar railway stations. No explosive devices were found. It is not known who was responsible for the bomb threat.
