26 May 2009
An Oman Air flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai yesterday after a crew member found threatening note in a restroom. Flight 857 was travelling from Muscat to Chennai with 140 passengers on board. Two circuit switches were found in a subsequent search of the restroom; however, there were no explosives. The pilot immediately alerted the airport in Mumbai and the aircraft landed safely. It was moved to a secure area where it was searched by authorities and deemed safe.
