Live bomb found in Surat

On 30 July 2008 police in Surat found a live explosive device, one day after 18 small devices were found in different neighborhoods of the city. The bomb was found in the Kapodara area hanging from a tree. Police were notified and the device was defused. Schools, colleges and shopping malls remain closed as a safety precaution against a possible attack.
