Large bomb defused on the roadside near the Srinagar airport

On 7 August 2008 a large bomb was defused on a roadside near the Srinagar airport. The bomb weighed approximately 175 lb/80 kg and was connected to 17 detonators. The explosive was hidden in a garbage bin. It is not known who planted the bomb or who the intended target may have been.
