ISRAELI CITIZENS ADVISED TO AVOID TRAVEL TO INDIA

Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued a warning for Israeli citizens to avoid travel to India due to a "highly concrete threat" that Laskhar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-based militant group, plans to carry out an attack. The alert warns Israelis to avoid Chabad houses, synagogues and areas with high concentrations of Israelis and Westerners. The alert is the second warning since September 2009 that LeT plans to attack Israeli or Jewish targets. The newest warning states that the threat is now "significantly more severe" than when the September 2009 alert was issued.
