FLOODING IN DELHI CAUSES HEAVY DISRUPTION

On 21 August 2009 heavy rains and high winds have disrupted operations at Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. Most flights are delayed or cancelled. Part of the roof of the new domestic departure terminal (T1D) collapsed, though there were no reports of injuries. Flooding has caused traffic jams throughout the city, including on the Noida DND flyway, Ashoka Road, Tilka Bridge, Vikas Mar Road, Ashoka Road and the Moolchand underpass.
