Flights at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai were delayed

All flights at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (VABB/BOM) in Mumbai were delayed for several hours due to technical problems and a runway closure on 9 June 2010. Aviation authorities closed the airport’s main runway in order to clean up glass pieces from a light on the edge of the runway that was broken by a departing aircraft, while at the same time power was cut and the newly constructed terminal 1-C was waterlogged, forcing its closure. Airport operations have reportedly returned to normal.
