AIR INDIA PILOTS STRIKE OVER PAY CUTS

A strike by Air India pilots continued for a third consecutive day on 28 September 2009, forcing the cancellation of at least 12 domestic flights and two international flights. The pilots launched the strike to protest planned salary cuts. Representatives of the pilots plan to meet with airline officials later on 28 September. The airline has offered to postpone the salary cuts, but the pilots have refused to lift the strike.
